Day Without Immigrants Rally at Danbury City Hall Draws Numerous Supporters
Members of the community gathered outside of Danbury City Hall in support of the city's immigrant population

DANBURY, CT — Members of the Danbury community gathered outside City Hall Thursday afternoon in support of the "Day Without Immigrants" rally happening nationwide.
According to multiple reports including from Catalina Trivino of NBC Connecticut, citizens are joining out front of city hall in a peaceful protest. Over two dozen Danbury businesses shuttered their doors Thursday in support of the movement.
Videos at the scene show hundreds of people gathered outside of City Hall supporting the rally. Trevino reported that the protests were peaceful.

The Danbury Police Department had closed Deer Hill Avenue to through traffic in light of the protests.
