Housatonic Habitat receives donation from Ridgefield Thrift Shop

Danbury, CT; 4/11/18: As they have for decades, members of the Ridgefield Thrift Shop once again demonstrated their support of Housatonic Habitat for Humanity with a donation toward its affordable housing mission. According to Mary Ellen Loncto, Ridgefield Thrift Shop’s President, “The Ridgefield Thrift Shop is thankful for Housatonic Habitat’s mission of building homes for qualified working families, which in turn helps strengthen our local communities and makes them a great place in which to live.” The Ridgefield Thrift Shop recently celebrated its 80th year of supporting various organizations like Housatonic Habitat that impact the people of Ridgefield.

Housatonic Habitat for Humanity focuses on making a meaningful difference in the lives of qualified working families by promoting financial stability and self-sufficiency through ownership of affordable homes. By providing decent, affordable, safe housing to qualified regional families, Housatonic Habitat contributes to community revitalization in the greater Danbury region by creating homes that can transform a street and neighborhood and add value to the community.
