King Street in Danbury Plan Holiday Fair

King St. Church holiday fair will have Santa, handcrafted gifts, baked goods, and more.

DANBURY — Start your holiday shopping early and get in the spirit of the season at the annual Holiday Fair at King Street United Church of Christ. Each year the fair features more and more handcrafted gifts, more fun, and more great food!

This year’s fair will be Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church, 201 S. King St. in Danbury. Santa Claus will be there in all his glory and available for photos with kids and kids at heart. A holiday boutique featuring handcrafted wreaths, trees, ornaments, and all kinds of gifts will be sure to have something you can’t live without. A Silent Auction and a raffle will be held, along with wonderful food in our Tea Room, baked goods, a Yankee Candle fund-raiser, and lots of fun for the children.

Also this year, Bob from Liberty Gold will be back on Friday, Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday during fair hours, andSunday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring in your unwanted or broken gold, silver, and platinum jewelry or flatware or other items, and you’ll walk away with competitive prices for your items. As a bonus, Liberty Gold will donate a portion of each sale to the church, so it’s a win/win for everybody.

The King Street Thrift Shop will be opened the entire time of the fair, featuring a collection of oil lamps, many types of crystal glasses and serving pieces, cozy blankets, books for all ages, and many ladies’ tops by a well known manufacturer.
