Lynx City Electric Scooters Are Rolling into Bridgeport
A fleet of 125 take to the streets this month

Bethel, Ct. -- Connecticut-based Lynx City Electric Scooters take to the streets of Bridgeport this month as the largest city in the state embraces micro-mobility transportation, which has been growing in popularity in towns and cities across the country. A fleet of 125 Lynx City electric scooters will hit the streets in Bridgeport after successful debuts in New Milford, Connecticut and Orlando, Florida.
Lynx City electric scooters will be available to rent 24 hours a day in Bridgeport by using the company’s mobile app. Users may search and unlock a Lynx City scooter for $1 to start their ride, plus a small per minute fee. Fully charged scooters have an approximate range of 30 miles and can operate beyond Bridgeport’s borders
“Micro mobility transportation is gaining in popularity because it’s not only fun, but affordable and energy efficient,” says Alan Moisio, Lynx’s CEO. “Many people are nervous about using ride share, public transportation, or taxi services during the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Riding a Lynx City electric scooter in the open air eliminates close contact with others while you travel to your destination,” he adds.

Greeting this new trendy form of transportation, Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim says, "Bridgeport is always excited to welcome new businesses to our city, especially when a business like Lynx City introduces residents and visitors to an energy efficient, work-play lifestyle with affordable and fun transportation. Urban alternative travel via scooters that can be available to anyone by simply downloading the app is a game changer for our growing population of young people. Whether using the scooters for travel to school or for enjoying along our parks, we welcome Lynx and this trending transportation source as part of Bridgeport’s experience, economy and recreation."
"Lynx City not only aims to change the world with green modes of transportation, but also to wildlife rehabilitation efforts in Lynx communities. “At Lynx City, we are passionate about the care and protection of wildlife. A portion of every ride will be donated to local wildlife rehabilitators in each city in which we operate. In Bridgeport donations will be made to the Connecticut Beardsley Zoo,” says David Harvey COO.
