Man Charged With Selling Drugs on Mill Ridge Road Fails to Appear In Court: Police

Police say the man was seen selling drugs on Mill Ridge Road within 1,500 feet of the Mill Ridge Primary School.

DANBURY, CT — A Bridgeport man charged with cocaine distribution near the Mill Ridge Primary School was arrested last week after he failed to appear in court, according to Danbury Police.

Jonathan Sanchez, 31, turned himself in on March 9 on a warrant. Danbury Police say that Sanchez posted his original bail, but did not appear in court.

According to a report from the News Times, Police say they saw Sanchez selling drugs on Mill Ridge Road Sept. 16. Officers found 5.5 grams of cocaine and cash indicating drug sales.

Sanchez was charged with possession with intent to sell, distribution of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of narcotics, illegal sale of controlled substances and failure to appear in the first degree, according to police.

He was held on a $1o,ooo bond.
