Man Sentenced For Intimidating Danbury Homicide Witness: Report
A 37-year-old man was sentenced last week in state Superior Court in Danbury, News-Times reported
DANBURY, CT — A New York man was sentenced last week at state Superior Court in Danbury to 12 years in prison, suspended after three years, for intimidating a witness in connection with a homicide investigation, according to the News-Times.
David Leslie Beers, 37, also received five years of probation. He had pleaded guilty to one count of witness intimidation.
News-Times reported that in February 2020, Beers dragged a person with a minivan in Danbury in retaliation.

The victim had previously provided a sworn statement to detectives who were investigating the 2019 death of Jason Hoffman, News-Times said, citing police, noting that the statement led police to arrest Danbury resident David Ramos.
