NY State Police Arrest CT Man For Having Criminal Sexual Contact With Minor
The man faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.

NEW FAIRFIELD, CT — New York State Police arrested a New Fairfield man April 20 for allegedly having sexual contact with a minor. Richard B. Spring, 50, was charged with four counts of third-degree criminal sexual act, felonies, and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors.
In March 2017, Troopers partnered with the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center to investigate a sexual offense reported to the state Office of Children and Family Services Child Abuse Hotline.
Police found that Spring allegedly subjected a teenage boy under the age of 17 to sexual contact. The victim was exposed to the sexual conduct on multiple dates at a residence in Pawling, NY.

The defendant is also accused of offering the victim alcohol and marijuana.

Addittionally, Spring was stopped by police on Milltown Road in Pawling and was found to be allegedly driving under the influence of drugs. He was charged with misdemeanor driving while ability impaired by drugs.
Spring was arraigned in the Town of Pawling Justice Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail or $50,000 bond.
State Police said the investigation in ongoing and there may be other victims.
