One Driver Killed In Multi-Vehicle Collision In Danbury
One driver was killed in a multi-vehicle collision late Tuesday afternoon on Route 7 in the area of 47 Sugar Hollow Road in Danbury.
DANBURY, CT — One driver was killed in a multi-vehicle collision late Tuesday afternoon.
The Danbury Police Department received a report of the crash on Route 7 in the area of 47 Sugar Hollow Road shortly after 5 p.m.
A preliminary investigation shows that a 2019 Nissan Rogue traveling southbound crossed over the double yellow line into oncoming traffic. The Nissan first struck an Audi sedan traveling northbound. The Nissan then collided head-on with a Toyota Tundra also northbound. During the collision, an additional Ford van was struck., according to the report from Det. Lt. Mark Williams.

Police closed the roadway between Miry brook Road and Bennets Farm Road for several hours.
The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. Passengers in the Audi and Toyota were taken to the Danbury Hospital’s Emergency Department for treatment, and the driver of the Ford was uninjured.
