Over $2,000 raised for Scholarships at Local Karate Tournament
Han Dol Martial Arts raises over $2000 to support scholarships during 6th annual Connecticut State Championships
On Saturday June 3rd, 2017, Han Dol Martial Arts, Moo Duk Kwan of Danbury held their 6th Annual
Connecticut State Championships at Saint Mary School in Ridgefield. With the partnership of the U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Foundation, a 501c3 non profit organization, Han Dol raised over $2,000.00 to support scholarships and provide training opportunities to those with financial need.
Around a 70 competitors, spectators and parents from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts attended to support the event and make it a great success.
One of the notable scholarship programs the Danbury Families & Children Aid martial arts program. Every Wednesday, Master Frank Tsai volunteers teaching the current young adult residents of the FCA.

Master Tsai is currently a 6th Degree Midnight Blue Belt in Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan and is the owner and head instructor of Han Dol Martial Arts. He opened the Danbury Location in 2007 and has taught numerous afters school programs from New York City, Bethel, Danbury, Ridgefield and CCLC childcare centers.
Prior to Han Dol, Master Tsai ran and taught the Johns Hopkins University Soo Bahk Do Club in
Baltimore, Maryland from 1998 to 2007 during his undergraduate and graduate study. He also taught children living in the inner cities of Baltimore during that time.

Han Dol is located in the Stop N Shop Plaza on 72 Newtown Rd of Danbury and teaches all ages the traditional martial arts of Korea.
