Peter Nero, City Council
Peter Nero, Democrat, is seeking his second term on the council.

Peter Nero, 69, said he was born and raised in Danbury, and over the years, he met Tom Saadi walking the district, and he agreed to serve.
"My biggest disappointment is I can't help everyone," Nero said. He said one woman without power called him, and the best he could do was explain all the details the council learned from Public Works Director Antonio Iadiarolla Tuesday night. "I couldn't help, but she said, 'I undertand. You're trying.'"
Nero said the big issue facing the city changes day by day. He said on one day he thinks the city needs more jobs, and the next day, better schools.

"After two years, what I work hard on is a balance," Nero said. "I work hard with Tom to keep tax increases at zero, and that is a balancing problem for the city of Danbury. This job costs me money and it keeps me up at night."
