Police Arrest Former Head of Danbury Chamber of Commerce
Police say he left the scene of a crash and drove away under the influence of alcohol.
BETHEL, CT — Police arrested the former president of the Danbury Chamber of Commerce Thursday night after they say he left the scene of a crash and drove away under the influence of alcohol.
Bethel police responded to a report of a man getting into a car drunk around 7 p.m. The man ignored the attempts of police to pull him over, according to a release.
Stephen Bull, 57, of Bethel, led police to the front of his home on Kingswood Drive. He was charged with DUI, engaging in pursuit, driving with a suspended license and evading responsibility in a motor vehicle crash.

Bull was president of the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce from 1998 through October 2017. He was released on a $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
