Police Charge 6th Person In Danbury Skate Park Stabbing

A woman was charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of Willy Placencia last month at a Danbury skate park.

DANBURY, CT — Police have charged a sixth person in connection with a fatal stabbing at a local skate park last month.

Shalina Tallman, 36, of Danbury, was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree hindering prosecution for knowingly rendering criminal assistance to a person or persons involved in the killing of Willy Placencia. Tallman is scheduled to appear in court on June 24.

Placencia, 21, of Danbury, was found severely injured March 18 at the Danbury Skate Park. He had multiple stab wounds and was taken to Danbury Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Three teens Nykeem Hawkins, 18, Kenaas Council, 19, and an unnamed 15-year-old, all from Danbury, were arrested on assault charges in March. James Lema-Zaruma, 20, and an unnamed 16-year-old, have also been charged.
