Police Charge Danbury Man With Burglary, Sexual Assault
Dutchess County detectives have accused a Danbury man of home invasion with a weapon and sexually assaulting the occupant.
DANBURY, CT — Police have charged a Danbury man in connection with a burglary and sexual assault committed in Beekman, NY.
On May 21, deputies and detectives from the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a home invasion and sexual assault.
Detectives arrested Wilson Oliveros-Romeros, 32, on May 27, following a week-long investigation, accusing him of entering the victim's home with a weapon and sexually assaulting the person. In its report, the Sheriff's Office indicated that Oliveros-Romeros and the victim knew each other, and the attack was not a random act.

The Sheriff's Office has charged Oliveros-Romeros with predatory sexual assault, first-degree rape, second-degree burglary, and second-degree menacing.
Oliveros-Romeros was arraigned before the Town of Union Vale Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail with no bail.
