Police Increase Security At Danbury HS Following Social Media Threat

The police say they will increase security at Danbury High School on Friday, following a social media threat made against the school.

DANBURY, CT — The police say they will increase security at Danbury High School on Friday, following a social media threat made against the school.

The Danbury Police Department became aware of the threat circulating on social media Thursday night, and was able to quickly identify a suspect and determine the threat was not credible, according to a post on Facebook. A juvenile was arrested.

An extra police presence will be in place at both opening and dismissals, as well as additional patrols throughout the day, according to the DPD.
