Police Nab Suspect In Railroad Tracks Homicide Investigation
Police have taken a homeless man into custody in connection with the death of a man found near the railroad tracks last month.

DANBURY, CT — Police have taken a homeless man into custody in connection with a homicide last month.
Carlos Guzman-Lopez, 46, was charged with first-degree manslaughter and first-degree assault of Ricardo Uruchima.
Uruchima, 60, was found lying face down in heavy brush in the area of the railroad tracks near the intersection of Garamella Boulevard and Maple Avenue on June 24. He had suffered multiple blunt force trauma strikes to his head and upper body. The Office of the Medical Examiner ruled his death was a homicide.

According to the police report, several forms of evidence were discovered, which lead the investigators to believe Guzman-Lopez was the person responsible for Uruchima’s death.
Police obtained a warrant for Guzman-Lopez's arrest, and found him after several days searching with the assistance of the Stamford Police Department. He was taken into custody on Friday, and is being held on a $1 million bond.
