Police Seek Public's Aid In Motorcycle Hit-And-Run Investigation

A car struck a motorcycle on Route 7 in Danbury and kept on going, police said. The motorcyclist was injured.

DANBURY, CT — State police are investigating a hit-and-run Saturday, and are seeking the public's assistance.

The accident occurred on Route 7 northbound, south of Exit 11 in Danbury, at approximately 11:43 a.m.

A black Dodge Challenger (or Charger) with dark tinted windows, Connecticut plates, a loud exhaust and with a German shepherd dog inside, struck a motorcycle and fled north on Route 7, according to the report from State Troop A. The motorcyclist was a 46-year-old Stratford man.

"The motorcycle came to final rest in the left lane and the operator of the motorcycle sustained injuries," Trooper Jason Cassavechia said.

Damage on the Dodge will likely be on the driver's side of the vehicle, according to the police.
