Putnam Extradites Danbury Woman Wanted For Larceny
She was arrested by a sheriff's deputy outside Heidi's Inn in Southeast.

SOUTHEAST, NY — A Connecticut woman wanted for larceny in her home state was extradited Monday after she was arrested outside Heidi's Inn on Route 22, Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. reports.
At 7:07 p.m. Jan. 25, Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Meury was on patrol, and traveling on Route 22 in the Town of Southeast, when he observed a vehicle make a turn without properly signaling, into the parking lot of Heidi’s Inn, police said.
Meury stopped the vehicle and after an investigation discovered that the driver, 56-year-old Philip J. Nichols, had a suspended driver’s license.

The passenger, 42 year old Dawn Anne Gonzalez, had a warrant, out of Danbury Connecticut, issued by the Connecticut State Superior Court.
Meury contacted the Danbury Police Department who confirmed that the State of Connecticut would extradite Gonzalez, who was wanted on two counts of Larceny in the Sixth Degree. Gonzalez was arraigned on the Fugitive warrant before the Honorable Justice James F. Reitz of the Putnam County Court and was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility.

She waived extradition and on Jan. 29 was picked up by the Connecticut authorities and returned to
Connecticut to face the Larceny charges.
