Thinking About the Present and Future of St. James in Danbury

St. James Church in Danbury is planning a special services.

Press release by Nneka Maiurro:

On Sunday, Nov. 9 following both Services we will be fortunate to have Mr. Jim Murphy from the Episcopal Church Foundation here with us to explain the many ways that we can help St. James’ to assure our future. While you may think that you need to be wealthy to leave a bequest, or that there is no way for you to do anything presently, that is not at all the case. Just as an example, you could set up a Charitable Annuity Trust for as little as $5,000. With a Charitable Annuity Trust, you receive income directly from the Annuity just like any investment – and there are significant tax savings. When you pass away, the Trust reverts to the Parish AND the principle is guaranteed! That is just one small example that Mr. Murphy can explain to you. If you would like to speak with Mr. Murphy privately, that can be arranged.

Please join us on November 9 following the Services. If you cannot make it in the morning, Jim will be speaking with the Deanery here at St. James’ at 2 PM.
