“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice will begin her prison stint in Danbury on Monday, followed by a 41-month prison term for her husband, Joe Giudice.

Guidice was sentenced to a 15-month prison sentence after she and her husband Joe Giudice were sentenced for mortgage and bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy.

It was reported late last year that she would serve her sentence at FCI Danbury, a low-security federal institution. The facility houses about 1,000 female and male inmates between the main facility and a satellite camp.

A spokesman for the prison system didn’t say if that would happen for sure and that they try to place inmates within 500 miles of home, according to Northjersey.com

A judge sentenced the couple in October but let Giudice wait until January to begin her sentence so she could spend the holidays with her daughters.

Giudice reportedly told her two youngest daughters she is going away for research, telling them she is going to jail to work on a book about prison, according to The New York Daily News.

Giudice’s eldest daughters - Gia, 13, and Gabriella, 10, - know where she’s going. The younger girls - Milania, 8, and Audriana, 4 - do not, according to The New York Daily News.

The reality television star, known for her luxurious lifestyle, including fancy living and expensive clothing and jewelry, will be stripped of all of that upon entering the minimum-security satellite camp for women in Danbury, Conn., according tonorthjersey.com.

Giudice, who was reportedly earning $650,000 per season on the show, will begin work in the prison and, at most, earn $0.40 per hour, northjersey.com reported.

Giudice also sells various products and is a best-selling author, but will not be allowed to run or facilitate any kind of business from behind bars, the report said.
