Reward Offered for Info Leading to Arrest of Hit-and-Run Driver Who Killed 23-Year-Old Bethel Mom
A young Bethel mother was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver around midnight on Saturday, Nov. 8 in Danbury.

A young mother was struck and killed in Danbury Saturday night by a hit-and-run driver. Now her family and friends want answers and are offering a reward for any information leading to the arrest of the individual responsible for her death.
Eyewitnesses say a dark-colored SUV hit Rachel Sack as she was walking near Great Pasture and South Street in Danbury. The driver fled the scene. People tried to help her as she lay in the road and an ambulance transported her to Danbury Hospital, but she died at the hospital as a result of her injuries.
Rachel worked at Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant. The 23-year-old leaves behind a 9-week-old baby boy, the baby’s father and numerous family members and friends.

According to Legacy.com, the funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury.
Danbury Police are asking eyewitnesses to contact Sgt. Rory DeRocco from Danbury Police Department’s Traffic Division at 203-797-2157.
