Temporary Classrooms Coming To Danbury Middle School

The rooms will help with an enrollment surge.

DANBURY, CT — Danbury schools will add eight temporary classrooms at Westside Middle School Academy due to increasing enrollment at the middle school level.

The school's student capacity will increase to 750 over the next three years, according to the News-Times. It's currently 600. Other middle schools in the city have had more than 1,000 students some years.

The temporary classrooms will cost less than $1 million and 62 percent of the cost is eligible for state reimbursement.
