Truck Fire Extinguished On I-84 In Danbury

DANBURY, CT — Firefighters quickly extinguished a truck fire on I-84 early Monday. A tractor trailer carrying paper goods caught on fire before 3 a.m. on the westbound side of the highway between exits 5 and 6, according to the Danbury Fire Department.

The driver disconnected the trailer from the tractor prior to firefighters arriving.

Firefighters used a foam material to extinguish the blaze. The Danbury Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.
