The Governor has issued a statewide travel ban preventing drivers from using the roads Tuesday.

DANBURY, CT — Gov. Dannel Malloy has issued a statewide travel ban preventing drivers from taking to the roads during the blizzard conditions Tuesday.

In a tweet published Tuesday, Sergeant John Krupinsky of the Danbury Police Department said that the department is actively looking for drivers on the roads Tuesday. Krupinsky added that drivers will be issued a $92 ticket for being out on the roads.

"As you can see the roads are extremely hazardous,"said Krupinsky. "We do not wish to give anybody a ticket."
