Woman Arrested With Several Fake IDs at Danbury Mall: Police

Police say the woman was found with the IDs at Lord & Taylor.

DANBURY, CT — A New York woman was arrested with several fake IDs at the Danbury Fair Mall last week, according to Danbury Police.

Ingrid Simmons, 53, of Bronx, NY, was arrested for allegedly attempting to open an account with a fake identification. Police say that Simmons was found with several fake IDs in several names.

A sales associate at Lord & Taylor saw Simmons acting suspicious while attempting to open an account at the store and called police, who later found the IDs. Simmons was charged with larceny in the fifth degree, attempted identity theft in the first degree and identity theft in the third degree.

She was released after posting a $10,000 bond, according to police.
