Woman Floods Acquaintance's Kitchen Floor: Danbury Police

Police say the woman took the phone from the acquaintance while he was trying to call 911.

DANBURY, CT — A local woman was charged following an incident at her acquaintance's house which resulted in broken glass and a flooded kitchen floor.

Danbury police say they responded to a Rowan Street residence on March 28 for a disturbance and spoke to a man who said Fernanda Bonfim Braga, 29, had began to act out for an unknown reason. The man told police Braga went upstairs and began breaking glass jars and throwing them out of the window.

Police also allege that at some point, Braga filled up the kitchen sink causing it to flood the kitchen floor.

When the man called 911, Braga took the phone from him and became confrontational with officers, according to police. Braga was placed under arrest after a brief struggle, police say.

Braga was charged with criminal trespassing in the first degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

She was issued a misdemeanor summons and is due in Danbury Superior Court on April 7.
