Women Charged With Shoplifting From Danbury Walmart Gave Officers Fake Names: Police
Police say the women also gave fake names to the store's security personnel.

DANBURY, CT — Two women face larceny charges after they were arrested for allegedly stealing clothes and jewelry from Walmart in Danbury Sunday, according to police.
The store's loss prevention saw Kiana Gilliard, 18, of Bronx, NY, and Haydee Caroline Pena, 42, of Danbury trying to leave the Walmart located at 67 Newtown Road with jewelry and clothes without paying for them, according to police. The security staff detained the two women before police arrived at around 2:01 p.m. .
The women gave false names to both security personnel and police on scene, Danbury police allege. Pena was also found with a THC prescription candy, which she did not have a prescription for.

Both Gilliard and Pena wer charged with larceny, interfering with arrest and conspiracy to commit larceny. Pena was also charged with marijuana possession.
Both were released on a bond of $1,000 and will appear in Danbury Superior Court on March 31.
