4th Great Island Public Workshop Set For May 17

The workshop will now take place indoors at Darien Town Hall due to inclement weather.

DARIEN, CT — The fourth Great Island public workshop scheduled for Saturday, May 17, will now take place at Darien Town Hall inside the auditorium and gymnasium. The move indoors was made because expected inclement weather.

The event will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The schedule is as follows, according to the town:

  • 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Vision & Possibilities, Town Hall Auditorium
  • 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Explore the Future, Town Hall Gymnasium

There will be a presentation from landscape architecture firm Reed Hilderbrand, which has been working with the town on developing the Great Island Master Plan.

Attendees will be able to visit project area stations, reading tables, check out the giant Master Plan map to add ideas with feedback notes, and leave suggestions in suggestion boxes.
