County To Honor Darien High School's Undefeated Lacrosse Team
The boys team won its fourth consecutive state title last spring.
DARIEN, CT — The undefeated 2017 boys state champion Darien High School lacrosse team has been named the town's Sportspersons of the Year by the Fairfield County Sports Commission, reports the Darien News.
The team, which won its fourth consecutive state title last spring, was also named the nation's No. 1 boys lacrosse team by Under Armour/Inside Lacrosse.
On Oct. 16, the sports commission will honor the team, and other county teams and individuals, at its annual Sports Night awards ceremony at the Stamford Marriott.
