A traffic advisory has been issued for the game by Darien police. Alcoholic beverages and tailgating before the game are prohibited at DHS.
DARIEN, CT — The #3-ranked Darien High School Blue Wave is scheduled to host the #6-ranked Greenwich High School Cardinals on Wednesday evening at Darien High School Stadium in a Class LL playoff football game, and the Darien Police Department has issued a traffic advisory for the game.
Originally the game was scheduled for Tuesday, but it was postponed to Wednesday due to the inclement weather expected to sweep through Connecticut Monday and Tuesday.
Both teams enter Wednesday's game with 9-1 records, with Darien coming off a crushing loss to arch rival New Canaan in the 2019 Thanksgiving Day Turkey Bowl.

Carpooling is encouraged, and "all bags, backpacks and coolers" will be subject to searches by authorities.
"Due to the large number of vehicles expected, parking regulations and designated tow away zones will be strictly enforced," said Darien police in a statement. "A handicap permit is required to park in the limited number of handicap parking spaces available.
"Additional parking is available at Middlesex Middle School Frate Park, and McGuane Field. No parking will be allowed on Noroton Avenue and in those areas that are specifically designated as 'No Parking.'"
The Middlesex Middle School and McGuane Park satellite parking sites are being utilized because of the limited parking at Darien High School. A shuttle service will be traveling between both of those satellite locations and the high school, according to police.
