It struck me as incredible that Steve Falcone, Darien's former Superintendent, just walked into a very senior position with the Stamford Scool System. After the mess he left in Special Education, I thought it might take a bit longer for him to land. At first, I thought it was just the old boy's network. Then I thought of another scenario. Suppose the educational professional know that he was under orders from the BOE and BOF to cut special education costs and don't worry about how. Maybe Falcone followed orders and then fell on his sword. Educators in other towns under similar pressures just gave him a pass. Stay tuned. Walter Casey.
