Connecticut Weather: Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued
There's good news and bad news with this weekend weather forecast. Here's the latest details from the National Weather Service.

It's not a great weekend weather forecast for Connecticut as we're expecting some rain on both Saturday and Sunday, but the good news is the temps will be warmer than we've been accustomed to. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for all of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties.
In the Hazardous Weather Outlook for southern Connecticut, the weather service states that "A strong cold front may bring strong southerly winds as it approaches late Saturday night, and strong west to northwest winds after it passes through early Sunday. Sustained winds may reach as high has 40 mph, with gusts as high as 58 mph. The strongest winds are more likely to occur closer to the coast Saturday night."
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, "Hairspray Alert today with windy 40s. Dry through tonight and tomorrow morning. Some spotty rain tomorrow afternoon."

Here is the updated weekend weather forecast for southern Connecticut:
Today: Sunny, with a high near 47. Northwest wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday: A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 54. Wind chill values between 25 and 35 early. South wind 5 to 15 mph.
Saturday Night: Showers. Low around 49. Southwest wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday: A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly before noon. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 55. Breezy, with a west wind 17 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.
Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34.
