Lawsuit Filed By Darien Church Against Its Rector: Report
At issue is the rector's alleged credentials.

DARIEN, CT — The parishioners of Darien's Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church have filed a lawsuit against the church's rector, Rev. Canon George Kovoor, concerning a dispute over Kovoor's alleged credentials, reports the Stamford Advocate.
The lawsuit claims that Kovoor, who was hired by the church in the fall of 2016, allegedly got the job by lying about his credentials.
Saint Paul's has tried to fire Kovoor - following attempts at mediation - but he has continued as rector. Rev. Ian Douglas, the bishop diocesan of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut, gave Kovoor his support in remaining in the post.
