Darien EMS Post 53 Students Complete Six-Month EMT Training

This year, Darien EMS had 19 kids and 5 adults complete EMT class! Pictured above is the graduating class at the Post 53 annual extrication exercise with local fire departments. If you are interested in becoming an adult advisor at Post 53, sign up for EMT class starting this fall! The course begins October 5th and finishes early March. After 140 hours of classroom study and 20 hours of practical training, EMT students are eligible to take Connecticut State examinations for their basic level EMT certification.
