Road Work Announced, Closures Expected In Darien: Here's When

DARIEN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) has announced that joint and crack sealing work will be performed on Route 1 in Darien from the Stamford line to the Norwalk line beginning this month.

CTDOT will be working in various towns, including Darien, between Monday, May 19 and Wednesday, July 2. Lane closures will be in place during that time from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., according to CTDOT.

State Troopers will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.

Motorists are being advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in work areas.
