Sidewalk Replacement Project Begins This Week In Darien

DARIEN, CT — Sidewalk replacement work on West Avenue between the intersections of Herman Avenue and Leroy Avenue is beginning this week in Darien.

According to the Darien Department of Public Works, work will begin at Leroy Avenue and progress towards Herman Avenue. Work is expected to take approximately six months.

The new sidewalk will be made up of concrete and will include handicap ramps at intersections, DPW said. The area will remain open to traffic, and police or other traffic personnel will be on-site during construction.
