Thieves Burglarize Multiple Vehicles In Darien, Cops Say
Two of the vehicles were parked at separate homes on the same road.

DARIEN, CT — Another four vehicles were burglarized in Darien on Aug. 3 and 5, according to Darien police. In recent months, a host of vehicles have been reported either stolen or broken into throughout town, prompting police officials to urge residents to lock their vehicles and take precautions to avoid such crimes.
On Aug. 3, a 2017 Jaguar F-Type was reportedly burglarized at a home on Garden City Road, according to police. The owner was not certain whether they had left it locked or unlocked, but there were no signs of forced entry.
Nothing was reported missing, but while investigating that crime, Darien police learned of another vehicle burglary next door.

In the second one on Garden City Road, an unlocked 2013 Infiniti Jx35 was broken into but again, nothing was reported missing.
Also on Aug. 3, a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV was reported burglarized on Crimmins Road. Cash totaling $20 was taken from the center console.

On Aug. 5, a locked 2012 Toyota Sienna, which was parked in the Darien YMCA parking on the Post Road, had its passenger side window smashed and a purse inside was stolen.
The purse, worth about $350, contained the victim's driver’s license, social security cards, checkbook, credit cards, and approximately $20 in cash. The purse had been left in front of the center console, according to police.
