Durham Public Library Celebrates Its Summer 'Volunteens'
The facility is throwing them a picnic this week.
DURHAM, CT — The Durham Public Library is throwing a picnic on Friday, Aug. 12, to thank its corps of summer volunteens.
The group worked part-time from June 27 through Aug. 6 on the summer reading desk, helping patrons and making book recommendations, among other duties.
Friday's picnic will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and feature snacks, music and more. To sign up for the event, call 860-349-9544, ext. 1.
