A Bully-Free Communities Rally Day will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at EMPOWER Leadership Sports Center, 2011 South Main St., Middletown.
The Community Foundation of Middlesex County developed programs to assist schools because, as Cynthia Clegg of the Community Foundation noted in the WFSB 3 video below β βthe schools canβt do it alone.β

The rally provides an opportunity for people to stand together in support of being bully-free. Anyone who lives or works in Middlesex County may attend and be a part of team building activities. Clegg is asking people to take the pledge to help those who are being bullied.
βIt is up to each and every one of us to put an end to bullying in our communities by learning more about the issue and the resources available for empowering individuals and preventing bullying,β the Bully Free website notes.
Anyone can take the pledge and be an agent of change. Resources are available for people of all walks, from teachers to bus drivers to police to parents to children.
