Man Dies in Boating Accident at Lake Beseck: DEEP

Emergency personnel were called to Lake Beseck on Tuesday, July 7, to search for a man in the Middlefield lake. According to NBC Connecticut, a man jumped from a 20-foot boat and never came back to the surface of the water.

The man has not been identified by name, but NBC is reporting he was a 52-year-old Middletown resident.

The boat stalled and the man yelled for help before jumping over the side of the boat and into the lake, WFSB reported.

The two additional passengers on the boat were not injured.
