Update: Coginchaug Graduation Cancelled

Update: Officials announced that Coginchaug Regional High School’s graduation ceremony has been cancelled.

“Due to the extreme weather conditions and loss of power, this evening’s graduation ceremony will be cancelled. Project Graduation will also be cancelled,” said Superintendent Kathy Veronesi. “The reschedule date will be announced by tomorrow at 10 a.m. “

As of 6:30 p.m. there are 745 Middlefield customers and 3073 Durham customers without power, according to Eversource.

There are 3060 customers without power out of 3093 customers, meaning 99 percent of the town is without electricity.
