Blizzard Heading Connecticut's Way [UPDATE]
Come Monday night, a blizzard will have reached Connecticut, Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan says.
8:53 a.m. Update, Jan. 25:
Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan said a blizzard is on the way.
“Worst of the blizzard (wind/snow) will come Tuesday morning around daybreak,” he wrote on his Facebook page. “It will be a long duration event.”

Saturday’s storm appears to be a preview for what’s heading our way. Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote:
“Our computer models are in great agreement that we have a major winter storm and possible blizzard heading toward New England Monday night and Tuesday. While we can’t rule out a change that would mean a more limited impact right now this is looking big. We’ll be able to throw out some numbers and specific timing tomorrow.”
The National Weather Service is providing initial snowfall amounts for Monday and Tuesday’s storm, in certain towns.
- Clinton: 6 to 12 inches
- Durham: 5 to 9 inches
- Greenwich: 3 to 7 inches
- Middlebury: 4 to 8 inches
- Middletown: 4 to 8 inches
- Milford: 4 to 8 inches
- Naugatuck: 4 to 8 inches
- New London: 7 to 13 inches
- Waterford: 7 to 13 inches
