Presentation Postponed of Proposed Durham Public Safety Facility

The meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 14

DURHAM, CT — A meeting during which the updated proposal for the Durham public safety facility was to be presented has been postponed, according to town officials. A new date has not yet been announced.

The meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Coginchaug Regional High School, and was set up "to discuss the proposed additions and alterations to the existing buildings at #37, #41 and #51 Main Street." Durham officials hope to consolidate emergency operations in a new complex at 51 Main.

According to officials, Wednesday's meeting is being postponed on advice of town counsel to allow for the Planning and Zoning Commission to continue its work on the proposal. Click here to view highlights of the proposed project.
