Southington Police Recover Stolen Cemetery Statues In Middlefield
Grave robbers hit St. Thomas Cemetery earlier this month.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - Two statues missing from St. Thomas Cemetery have been recovered, Southington police confirmed on Tuesday.
They were found in Middlefield, police said. They did not elaborate on exactly where.
No arrests have been made in connection with the case, but police said on Tuesday the probe remains "active and ongoing."

During the overnight hours on May 4 into May 5, two marble statues were stolen off stones there, police said.
St. Thomas Cemetery is located on Meriden Avenue.

The incident is the latest there, police said. Since January there have been six additional reported instances of statutes being removed from gravestones, police said
