Tractor Trailer Totaled After Crashing in Middlefield [VIDEO]
The accident took place on Jackson Hill Road in Middlefield.

Around 7:00 Wednesday morning, Middlefield Firefighters were dispatched to a tractor trailer roll over at the intersection of Jackson Hill Rd and Route 66.

Upon arrival, the chief found the driver of the truck entrapped in the cab, and called for Westfield Fire Dept Rescue 3 to assist with the extrication. Middlefield and Westfield firefighters successfully extricated the driver who was transported to Hartford Hospital. No one else was injured or involved in the crash. Great work by all who assisted, including CL&P, CT State Police, and Midtown Towing.

The tractor trailer accident occurred around 7 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, NBC Connecticut reports. The driver was hospitalized due to incapacitating injuries and given an infraction for traveling too fast in the rain.
