Wedding Facility Wright's Mill Farm Rises from the Ashes
Owner Curtis DuBois and the staff at the popular venue have not let the May 18 fire that nearly destroyed the facility slow them down.

CANTERBURY, CT - Wright's Mill Farm, the popular wedding facility nearly destroyed by a massive fire a couple of weeks ago, is back hosting weddings almost as if nothing happened.
The venue hosted its first wedding since the fire on May 21, only three days after the blaze, and the facility is booked for weddings through 2017, reports the Norwich Bulletin.
The fire gutted the kitchen and much of the main lodge building, but so far owner Curtis DuBois and the 40-member staff have only had to relocate about a dozen weddings because the venue can now only host one per day instead of the usual two.

Local fire marshals have ruled the fire an accident, and the lodge will be razed and rebuilt from scratch, writes the Bulletin. Two people suffered injuries in the blaze but neither case was life-threatening.
DuBois says that brides, grooms, families, friends and the community at-large have rallied around the facility and have offered support, for which he and the staff are grateful.
"That's our wedding Venue I had no doubt Curt‼️" wrote Susan Gentile on Facebook. "Soooooo proud of you all‼️ Looking forward to our daughter's wedding 9/19 in the Pavillon."
