HiglandArt Farm Expands Whole Diet CSA with Second Location

March 18, 2013 – Glastonbury, CT – Last year Kelly Baker of HighlandArt Farm re-invented the traditional CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) by creating the “Whole
Diet” CSA.  Due to its success and increasing demand for this sustainable farm to table personal shopping
experience, Baker has expanded from one pick up location at Glastonbury’s Beckett Farm, to another location at Auer Farm in Bloomfield.

Baker’s “Whole Diet” approach to the CSA experience, means that she continues to work with area farms to obtain your weekly staples, including produce, eggs, dairy, breads, granola and coffee and this year will be raising beef and pork herself at Auer Farm in Bloomfield.  This expansion allows HighlandArt farm to keep all products of the “Whole Diet” CSA as local as possible and insure their quality and sustainability.

HighlandArt Farm allows you to feed your family a socially and environmentally conscious diet of fresh, whole foods produced locally. “Typically, a person would need to
go to multiple farms or farmers’ markets in order to get all of their staple items, which takes a lot of time and money.
HighlandArt Farm is doing all of the work for you. It’s like having your very own Farm to Table personal shopper.” says Kelly.

In this day and age where people are so taken with the Farm to Table movement in restaurants, HighlandArt Farm is able to bring that directly into your home while supporting local Connecticut farms. Farmers benefit from consistent sales and centralized marketing allowing them to focus on what they do best; produce great foods!

Shareholders will be able to make visits to the farms where their food is being grown and meet the farmers.  It makes food more personal when you know and trust your farmer and see the importance of keeping local agriculture thriving in our community.
