Shoreline provides another Bellringer

EHHS Soccer

Old Saybrook always plays hard nosed soccer and Wed. afternoon proved no different when the East Hampton High boy's soccer team traveled to yet another tough shoreline contest. The Bellringers would weather the challenge and emerge with a 2-1 victory over the very competitive Ram side.

The scoring began with a quick shot from the right side from Jordan Casey. The tough young striker though oversized by the defenders gained the advantage and had it most of the contest. The second goal would come from a clear shot from Senior Capt. Dan Wall. The Ram defense found itself out of position and could not react to the quick thinking Wall. Old Saybrook would score in the second half with 15min. left on a mix up in front of the 'Ringer goal. The 'Ringers outshot the Rams 15-8 and the score would end 2-1 Bellringers. EHHS is now 8-3-1 and Old Saybrook is 8-4-1; 3 & 4 in the shoreline conference respectively.

Next up for the Bellringers is a re-match with Old Lyme at home on Mon.10/22. They close out the season with Westbrook at home "Senior Night" at 6:30pm on Wed. 10/24. State tournament time starts 11/1 when the field will be set for some great soccer.
