East Hampton Boys and Girls Shine in Cross-Country

Boys' soccer routs Westbrook; girls' volleyball wins seventh straight.

The East Hampton boys took first place and the girls finished second at the Bellringer invitational on Friday.

The meet was part of Bellfest, which featured all of East Hampton's fall sports teams at home.

Overall, the Bellringers had an outstanding day. The boys' soccer team defeated Westbrook, 7-0, while the girls played to a 4-4 tie in double-overtime against the Knights. In volleyball, the girls continued their strong start to the season, improving to 7-1 with a 3-0 victory over Valley Regional. The girls have won seven in a row and have lost only one set during that span.
