If you awake early and start your morning by watching the local news on Ch. 3, then you might be familiar with WFSB’s weekly Cool Schools segment. If you don’t get up that early, or watch a different program, you might want to change your plans this Friday.
That is because Mark Dixon and his Ch. 3 team will be in East Hampton, where the high school will be the subject this week between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.
“I’m really excited, I think our kids are very excited and it’s a good opportunity for us to showcase a lot of the good things our students do,” said Dr. Linda Berry, the high school principal.

Of course, getting the students to show up at school that early could be tricky, but Berry seemed pretty confident there will be a goof turnout.
“I expect we’ll have a lot of students here ... maybe 75 percent of our students will come in early,” she said.

Ch. 3 has already been to the high school to film some of what will air. Cool Schools runs in installments during the two hours.
