East Hampton Nursing Home Fined $2,700

Officials said the fines against Cobalt Lodge Health Care stem from lapses of care against three patients.

Three nursing homes in Connecticut are facing penalties following the release of a state Department of Public Health report.

One of the homes cited was Cobalt Lodge Health Care, which the state imposed a $2,720 fine against, according to the Connecticut Health I-Team.

The website reported that the nursing home exhibited three instances of lapsed patient care, including a resident with Alzheimer’s disease who became dehydrated and was not being provided proper hydration.
